Message: Even though Matt dug up a 4 1/2-year-old post, I'll comment anyway. I drove one of my customer's '90 Syclone about 3 years ago. It was pretty quick, but you still had get the revs up to minimize the turbo lag. When it hooks up, the AWD is a blast. The thing still rattled and shook like any early S-10 introduced in 1981. "Car and Driver" had one of their fun comparison road tests in 1990 between a S-10 Syclone and a 308 Ferrari (like on Magnum P.I.). The S-10 would ream the 308 out until 100 mph, then the Ferrari would catch up. I think the Syclone ran around 4.9 second 0-60 times, which it ran close to even on wet pavement with the AWD. The GMC Typhoon was Blazer-based, heavier, and undoubtedly, more rare.

Message: Nice links there. That guy in the Hot Rod article is one lucky SOB :p
He's got a garage full of Hemi's and hemi parts!
Last night at our local track I got to see several old Mopars run. It wasn't a BIG racing night but the track was busy.
There was even three Duster's there.
I talked to one of the guys in a Duster, and mentioned that I heard they are getting rare to find now.
He told me that he is looking for another one, and can not find one. I assume he means one that is in descent shape, fixable anyway.
That is the 2nd week in a row at the races where someone told me they can't find a Duster!!!!
I am deffenitely NEVER going to get rid of mine no matter what my wife says about it being in our garage!!!! Mine has a STRAIGHT body too :) Just waiting for the drive train to get together... then it will be at the races too.
