Subject: Rear slider won't lock IP: Logged
Message: Just noticed on my 3 month old quad cab. The rear sliding widow will not lock! You can easily open it from the outside. The latch has been constructed so that the clip will not reach far enough to engage.
Obviously, the dealer should fix this. I am wondering if anyone else has seen this, or how many of you are driving around unknowingly with unlocked windows.

Message: Mine is just like that, i thought it was broken too, but if you lift up on the sliding part it reaches (i dont know about yours, you could actually have a problem). just pick the sliding part striaght up and it'll click.

Message: Thanks GlenC!
If you close mine staight, it falls about an 1/8 inch short of latching, even if you slam it.
But, just as you said, if you lift up (rotating the slider) it will latch, rotate back, and be just fine. As seldon as I use this window, I can accept this method (at least it is better than a trip to the dealer).
