Can somebody enlighten me on how to check the timing on my 92dak(318)? I heard you had to unplug something to disable the computer. But I dont remember what.What is the timing supposed to be set at? thanks

hey, I'm pretty sure on the dakota's its one of the vehicles where you disconnect the coolant temp sensor. Not sure about what base timing should be. look for an emission sticker under your hood. it should say on that.
