i was looking at the spare on my 98 dak sport and the spare has the better rim like the r/t rim but smaller. the rims i have on my truck are the 'standard'(i guess) cheap ones.
why would the spare have a different rim?

I have the aluminum (SP?) rims on my 4, but my spare has the normal rim.

Im willing to bet that your truck came from the factory with the "nicer" wheels, and the dealer you bought it from took them off and put the other ones on....but they forgot to swap the spare wheels...
just a thought...
