So I'm trying to change my oil earlier. Because based on the color, and the great 5 star dealer I got it from I think it may be the factory oil. Not really but its bad.

Well I was under her today trying to get off the plug. We ewere trying every which way but the right way to get it off. I've changed the oil on other cars, but this thing is crazy. Any suggestions on how to get her off? THanks in advance.

Actually I got that thing off. Guess they used an airgun, last time. The 15 minutes it took to get it off, had to stick the socket wrench in a metal tube to make it longer. That worked.

The 45 degree oil filter, in the extreamly cramped enviroment....now thats fun. Can't wait until I pull that puppy off...I have a feeling its gonna drain about a quart of oil on my face.

The drain plug has right hand threads. Looking directly at it, turn it counter-clockwise to loosen it. Watch your knuckles when it lets loose ;-)

Hey Nick, when you put the plug back on, don't put it on that tight. There is no reason to do that. You might strip out the threads in the pan. There is usually a spec. on oil drain plugs too, but just put it on there hand tight then about a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn with the wrench and that should be good.

Last time it was changed, was at the dealer. Judging by the MOPAR filter I managed to pull out. So they probbaly just rammed the air gun on the plug till it stopped moving.

I ran to the auto store, and bought a filter wrench to go on my socket wrench, and slowley inched it off.

Actually the new wrench worked great. Funny thing is in some sick way I enjoyed it. Dodge really had a sense of humor though when it came to placing the filter.

Mobil 1 oil & Filter. The oil looked great going in.
