Subject: Scotch Guard on Wet Okole? IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys,
I just ordered my new wet okole seat covers. Should be here in 2-3 weeks. I was wondering if anybody had used or knew anything about using Scotch Guard on the neoprene material the covers are made out of. I don't want to spray the stuff on and then have it break down the material but I also would like to protect them from everyday dirt and such. Thanks!
P.S. Pics on my website of the covers as soon as I get them!

Message: I have only used the cleaner and protectant sold by wet okole. While the covers are neoprene, the outer covering is actually Lycra.
I don't think there is a problem with scotchguard and Lycra, their web site doesn't have compatability information but you can call:
3M Specialty Chemicals Division 1-800-561-5174
It wouldn't hurt to ask first.

Message: THanks Mark, I didn't realize that there was a coating couside the neoprene. Is the stuff that wet okole sells made for the neoprene or the lycra? I was planning on getting the neoprene cleaner at a local scuba shop. I may call 3M tomorrow to see what they have to say about it.
