Subject: Purge Solenoid IP: Logged
Message: Hi,
A quick question to anyone who might now.
Evaportive control circuit improper purge malfunction via the OBDII.
Electrical and vacuum hoses all look good. Took off the solenoid valve, and as the limited general info from a emissions repair manual is says most valves are CLOSED when energized, and OPEN when de-energized.
I cannot blow thru the 2 hose connections on the valve while off the vehicle (de-energized) so I'm suspecting a stuck closed valve.
Does anyone know if Dodge Duty Cycle Purge Solenoids should be open when de-energized?
Thanks in Advance
Steve
