Message: My heat will take a good while to get hot then not be hot for a while I have no clue on what to do any help will be appreciated

Message: I believe you mean heater heat. Sounds like the Thermostat is sticking open then closes. replace the T-stat I am sure this is your problem..

Message: Could be air in the system, check your radiator cap. If it looks suspicious, replace it. Is there still water in your overflow tank? Also, there may be a blend door problem, letting in fresh air even tho you have it over to recirc. Does the heater temperature go up and down the same as engine temp?

Message: I had a similar problem with a 95 windstar. ended up being a leakey head gasket. Not sure if this will help you tho.
