Help-

I must have gotten too close to a sand and gravel place this weekend looking for some new riding (dirtbike) areas...

I got some concrete dust on my truck that mixed with moisture around the lower panels behind the wheels. I now have some splatters of CURED concrete on my truck. This stuff is on my step bars and wheel wells AND THE LOWER BODY !!! I WISH I HAD MUD FLAPS.

Anyway- I tried to put the power washer (1800 psi)to it and it doesn’t come off... Scraping it leaves scratches in my clear coat. I am looking for any suggestions to remove it. I figure that no matter what, I will have to do some touch-up to the clear coat.

I was considering muriatic acid, but this is a last resort. I would test in an inconspicuous area first of course. I also found a ‘safe’ alternative to muriatic acid online (http://www.safe-react.com/formu_e.htm) and ordered some, but I am open to any other suggestions.

I have the two tone hunter green and lower gray paint combo.

Does anyone have suggestions to get this stuff off?

wOW, i WOULD HAVE GUESSES THAT A POWER WASHER WOULD HAVE WORKED.

Before going the acid route, you cab try to scrape it with a fingernail of something plastic. If that leaves scratches in your clearcaot, youy can have the car compounded and waxed...

Be sure you use that pressure washer with the same force on the paint as you would on your own skin.

Try a plastic puddy knife. I used one to take off my emblems and gor no scratches. There is one other thing to try... I saw this handy tool made by 3M for removing trim. It is a flexible flat metal sheet on one end coated with a special paint so as it won't scratch. The other end fits into an airchisle. I wish I would have known about this thing before, 30,000 strokes perminute can fix almost anything :)
