Subject: Which Tire Brand?? 31X10.5X15 IP: Logged
Message: Right now I have the Factory 31" Goodyears RT/S with about 80% of the tread left on them. These tires are junk, I need something better and safer.
I've been looking at,
BFGoodrich T/A KO
Pirelli Scorpion A/T
Michelin LTX A/T M/S are excellent tires but for looks and cost I'll pass.
It really comes down to Pirelli VS BFGoodrich, I want an agressive looking tread that performs mostly on the road and wears like iron.
What do you all suggest??
Thanks,
Anthony

Message: The BFG is a great tire. I'm on my second set. Your going to love the ride with whichever you go with in comparrison to the stock tires.
I can't compare to the scorp though. Pirelli's upper line of tires are worth every penny.

Message: the tire choice is yours. i put a set of 31x10.5x15 on my truck towards the beginning of summer. they are yokohama's geolander at nice looking and the seem to be wearing great. the dont make alot of noise either and smooth riding. i paid like 90$ a piece for them at summit racing. i would buy another set of them again. just wanted to put my 2 cents in so there you go.

Message: I am gonna go against the grain and recommend the Pirelli's. I have them on my truck and they ride and look awesome. They are also wearing very well. I have about 15K miles on them and they still look almost new. Of course I try and rotate every 3 to 5K miles. In my opinion (and the tire shop that put them on) they are just as good of quality at a little cheaper price. I have the 30 x 9.5's now instead of the 31's for a little better pick up and milage.

Message: I'd recommend Pro Comp All Terrains. They were good in all conditions. They wore like iron. 4wheelparts has them for buy 3, get 1 free with free shipping right now.

Message: I had the Scorpions on another truck. They were excellent tires in the snow. I really liked them. They rode and handled well. When my dak needs a new set, I think I'm going to put the Pirelli back on, just don't have the money to go changing tires with good tread still on them.

Message: Been hooked on Goodrich for so long I can't remember. The agressive tread with the quiet ride. I have a set of 235-75-15's for winter tires (plow great) and was wondering myself what to put on my bigger rims for the rest of the year once my 31X10.5's get worn. Maybe a bigger set of TA's is the answer !
