Subject: Positive or Negative Switching?

Message:
Would my Dakota have positive or negative switching when talking about the headlights or electrical system? Does anyone know what this is or means? I've never heard of this, but the question came up, as I'm looking at installing a flasher unit.

Thanks.

The only positive / negative I have heard of was positive / negative ground. Some vehicles (older ones I think) were (+) grounded where as most are (-) grounded.

I don't know if that's what you are asking but I hope it helps.

Your '02, and other newer model Dakotas, is ground-side switched. Not sure when dodge actually changed over to ground side.

Keep swingin'
