A friend of mine is working on starting a club for Dakotas in North and South Carolina named Carolina Kotas. It is a work in progress. If you are interested in being a part of this group, you can visit the site at:

We will be planning meetings and gatherings this spring and summer. The club is based in Fayetteville, NC. I live in Raleigh and attend NC State University so there is potential for two chapters right now if there is interest. We basically just want to meet up with other Dakota owners, help out with mods, give and receive suggestions, hang out, and have fun...

I'm in North Augusta, S.C.. I have in-laws in Mooresville, and we're up there a pretty good bit. We usually take the Durango though. (only two seats in the Dakota).
How far from Mooresville is Raleigh?
Hey Steve... Where at in Mooresville are you?...The in-laws are about 2 miles from Mooresville's 1/8th mile Strip. Me and the Brother-in-law go down there when I'm there. We could meet up down there sometime.
Would like to find something closer to home though. Lots of DAK's around here... There's only a handful of us that go to the drag-strip though...

Time to meet and hit the track. My Dakota is down right now for some fitting of my supercharger.
When does the track in Mooresville open if not already?.
Any of you guys drive a Yellow R/T CC with a supercharger? I saw one in town(Charlotte) last fall. There is also a guy in Indian Trail that has a red R/T CC that is supercharged. He may want to hit the track as well. Wish it was a quater mile though.

notchlx, I live just off of exit 33, right on the lake. It would be great to meet at the track. I've been meaning to get there but didn't really know how to get started. Didn't want to look silly. I think they have a tune/test night on Thrusdays. YA, my six will not hang with your supercharger, but it would still be great to see if the mods I've done did any good. Let me know.

Hey guys.... I'm not sure when the track in Mooresville will be open, but I'm coming into town Friday night... Don't know if I'll be in the Dakota or Durango though... If they are open on Saturday, I'll probably go...
Don't know yet what the in-laws have planned yet, so don't hold me to it.

I'll be going in the DAK this weekend to Mooresville as well. I wasn't sure if I was going to be in the Dak, as only 2 people can ride, but it's just me and the wife.
My truck is a regular cab SLT (medium bronze) It has a rollpan, clear tails, tonneau cover, and hood scoops.... What does your truck look like, so I can be on the look-out for you. I'm not sure what time they start on Sat. but they only live 3 minutes away...I believe its HWY51 or 53 something like that. It's the road your on before turning onto the rd the drag strip is on...

I'll be down there with my Brother-in-law. I'll be in a medium bronze R/C Dakota. I'll keep my eyes out for you. I don't think I'll run it, but I might change my mind. Would hate for something to tear up. It's a 3 hour ride back home!
