Message: I installed 'Pilot' fog lights on my truck last month. They came with a good wiring harness and easy to understand instructions. The brackets fit perfectly. You should have no problems.

Message: The foglights I bought on ebay came with nothing but two lights and a wiring harness. I had to make some mounting brackets that bolted up on the underside of the front bumper to mount the lights onto so they would set right in the holes. I also drilled a small hole in my firewall to run the wires into my dash and mounted a small toggle switch by the headlight switch for the foglights. I'm pretty sure my truck was not setup originall for foglights, I had to basically do it from scratch.

Message: Chad you are gonna have to cut holes in your fascia. You can find a hole saw that size I'm sure. Get the stock fog lights from the dealer and if I remember right they bolt to the bottom of the bumper.

Message: Hey thanks Mark. I have another question will this set of fog lights work instead of the stock ones from the dealer.

It a little cheaper. Do you know if they are just as good or just a dirt cheap model??

Message: Chad those will work if they are the right size for the holes you will be making.
Personally, I put a Street Scene front fascia on my truck and it had square holes for the fog lights. I found a company that made lights that exact size and I made my own brackets from scratch.
If you are handy with some basic tools and have a hardware store nearby, you are set.

Message: I noticed my dakota already has a foglight harness for the optional stock foglights and i was wondering if i could just wire in the lights i have into that harness. i know im going to need the switch that plugs into the harness in my dash by the headlight switch and a fuse for the foglights.

Message: A word of caution. Some states have laws about fog lights that say they have to disengage when the bright lights are on. Some do not. I saw somewhere on here someone failed inspection because they isntalled fog lights without relaying them to the high beams.

Message: Recently purchased a brand new OEM set of fog lights for my 2007 Dakota from K2motor in Walnut, California. Sounded like such a good deal ($125 plus $22 shipping in Canada). Received the kit a few days ago and everything is there except the installation instructions. According to the supplier they do not have the instructions. What can I do now to install them after the cut outs are made in the plastic bumper cover?
