Subject: hurst shifter 5.2 IP: Logged
Message: Hey I was wondering if anyones had a chance to test out the new hurst shifter for the dakotas. I've got a '97 5.2 5 speed and I'm always killed on the long throw from 1st to 2nd. Does the hurst shifter give any major improvements? Is it worth it? And another thing, will the poweraid throttle body spacer give any performance improvements to hp, torque, and mileage? I need some good advice and this is the best place to get it. Thanks

Message: Hey Oliver,
The stock shifter from 1st to 2nd is an 8" throw. With the Hurst shift it's only 4" 1st to 2nd. Check it out the shifter in Chuck's Dakota www.intense99dak.com/index.htm
I'm from Toronto too, it's nice to see more Canadians on here.
