Message: I have a 1999 Dakota Sport Regular cab. I want to put some subs behind the seats. Haven't really shopped yet, but thought maybe some of you have already put subs in your dak's. I already have 2 fosgate 10's and would like to use those. BUT after pulling them out of my 91 mazda.... the boxes are way to big to fit behind the seats of my dakota. Any suggestions on speaker boxes?? And where is everyone mounting their amps? definitely not under the seats.

Message: Warren, that setup won't work. I wanted to do the same thing, but the trusty people at cartoys said it would not produce good sound. I have 2 JL Audio W08 in the back with custome boxes. You can check out the pics

Message: depends on how many notches you want to lose on your seat. you can put 3 10" squares behind the seat of a 96 Dakota regular cab and you will lose 2-3 notches. but I am not sure about the gen.III dakotas if they have a hump in the middle or how tall you can make the box and stuff like that...I would really like to see 5 8" squares because I know that they would fit as well...you really have to watch mounting depth, magnet dia. and the volume the speaker requires and everyone knows if you want small box then get solobarics.
