Subject: Lubrication IP: Logged
Message: I know synthetic lubes are supposed to be superior but I`ve been using standard petro-based lubes in my engine,tranny and diff for over 52,000 miles.Will switching now phuck my dak up? Ive heard all the hype about royal purple,redline and amsoil.

Message: I e-mailed valvoline a couple of years back with that same question. The answer that I recieved from their "scientist" was that it will not hurt to switch from real oil to synthetic. I have a geo priz with 150,000 miles on it and it's been switched a few times with no problems. I just did my 3rd oil change on the Dakota and I switched to Mobil 1 tri synthetic 5w30.
