Subject: Cleaning plastic and vinyl IP: Logged
Message: I am gonna take off my door panels to clean and possibly paint and would like to know a good product to really clean the dirt/grime that collects in a 10 year old truck. I was think of something like 409 but it says not to use it on vinyl.Any ideas?

Message: Just use any good cleaner to clean the vinyl first. Because you are going to paint you will have to use other products reccomended to prepare the vinyl to accept the paint. Talk to your local custom paint shop in your area for products to use on the vinyl. Or, do a search on car restoations and find out what they use or sell to paint the vinyl and plastic.
