In 55 years, Ive never yet heard a fellow Canadian say "Take Off Hoser" and frankly I think the Mackenzie Brothers are an embarrasment. It's because of fools like this that some Americans think Canadians live in igloos and go to work by dog-sled.

Just in case, I didn't REALLY think that all Canadians ran around saying 'Take off hoser' and 'eh' and stuff. *L* It was more to lighten the mood if anything, and I think it had the opposite effect.
I do have to say that while Canada does rule, the U.S. didn't exactly get spanked. BELARUS got spanked, as well as China. But Canada definitely dominated that game vs. the US. Hats off to them!

I'm mad that Sweden didn't beat Belarus and give Canada a rougher ride to the Gold game. Yeah, they probably would have won it but dang, they had an easy road.
I'm still lobbying for some of the rules in the NHL to change to the International set... No red line for starters.
Congrats Canada, but we Americans still have 1996! ; )

Sorry if I came off the wrong way guys.The comment about Americans thinking we live in igloos was meant as a joke, but it didn't exactly come out the way it was meant to. As far as the hockey game goes,ya it was a great game. Everybody played the way the game was meant to be played.

I have had occasion to talk with some roof truss delivery drivers from Canada (Watford, Ontario and I can't remember the other one) and they didn't say take off hoser, but they did say eh and aboot. Real nice people.

Not to toot our own horn. But more recently on 9-11, when American airspace was shut down, Canada took in several passenger flights that were bound for The States. Now if we could just toughen up our deportation laws and get some of those terrorists living in exhile off our soil( or turned into it like the sh1t they are), then maybe we can have that group hug . ...... Oh yeh! It was a good hockey game , eh?

that was one good game. i had the oportunity to train with the americans in shilo in 2002. cool bunch of guys. we had a canada vs states baseball game(we lost 8-12) it was one good time. no animosity no country hating, just good old beer drinking and good times. i look forward to them coming back sometime. man were we messed up.
