Yes, mine makes a tire chirping noise then a loud sucking noise from under the hood and then things start flying past me real fast. I do it as much as I can..!
P.S. It's bad to hold your gas to long. Hard on the digestive system.

Well Quadman, since you didn't realy specify the noise, it's kinda hard to tel if everyone has the same noise. I experience pretty much the same noise handi2 describes, but mine has a pretty loud roar mixed in from the exhaust. Pretty much drowns out the sucking noise from under the hood. And I get that darn tire chirping sound again when it dos shift into second.
