I was beginning to think I was the only Illinois Dakota Driver posting on this site! LOL - Glad to hear and see there's others! I live in Mt. Prospect (NW of O'Hare). Brian I was down in your neck of the woods today- took a drive out to JC Whitney early this morning to pick up an exhaust tip for my 2001 Sport Plus 4x4 Quad Cab. Anyway, Im glad to hear theres more people locally that are enjoying their Dakotas and this site as well. Feel free to e-mail me if your planning anything. Oh yeah, almost forgot, I dragged my brother into this Dakota craze too- he bought a 2002 Sport Plus 4x4 Quad Cab last weekend. By the way if your interested I picked up the flyer for JC Whitneys Car Show - its on Sunday April 28th this year - Ive got the flyer here and can scan and e-mail if you'd like it! :)

I'm in Deerfield. So send me an e-mail if there's going to be a meet somewhere. BTW, took the factory muffler and pipe off my '02 4.7 today and replaced them with a Dynomax Ultra Flow muffler (stainless) and custom stainless tail pipe. It's nice and quite at idle, but sounds pretty good when you get on it. Things goes pretty well too.

Cool so far we have 4 people interested. I copied everyones email address and I'm a starting a list. The car show that JC Whitney has might be a good place for a meet. Any of you thinking of entering. I've never done something like this, but it might be fun. Looks like it doesn't cost anything. Let me know what you guys think and I can put together a general email with info.

hey guys, i'm from the western suburbs.. i THINK the "four corners" is a reference to a spot in downers grove @ 75th and lemont rd/main street. a good place to hang - behind the white castle. trouble can be found there if you're looking for some 1320'fun.
i'd be up for meeting out there or elsewhere when it warms up a little

im very interisted in this 4 corners place. near me the drag spot is taco bell on 75th and naperplainfield. i live i naperville by the way. ill go to any meet but i cant off road (i have an r/t). 1320 fun sounds good.
if you wanna see some bad ass r/t's go to www.chicagolandrtclub.org we meet at the bona beef in shaumburg (corner of higgans rd. and barrinton rd.) every first sunday of each month. at 12:00 noon. we have like 20 trucks. directions are on the website.

richloss- no, we had a red 4.7 sport chillin with us last time and there is a member with a bad ass neon r/t that comes every time. daks crusin by on the road usualy stop to see whats up and stay for a while. The more the better.
illi rt- about 10:30 on saturday nights its hoppin. but that is only if it is farily warm. me and my friends in their cars are always up there though if its warm enough that you dont get frost bite. my "dragracin team" (or friends) cosists of my r/t, a red r/t, a red lightning, 95' vette, and a 71 camero. (it sometimes gets busted up by the cops though. no arrests but they tell every one to clear out.)i was up there last sat. and it was fun as hell my friend in the vette took out an ls1 trans am like it was nothing. oh the compitition is mostly rice and mustang gt's there no problem.
the coolest place to chill in the summer is at swonney's drive in outside of aroura. every 2nd and 4th saturday night over 50 muscle cars show up for show and shine, and do burnouts when they leave. the cops dont care, one even did a break tourqe for us. hehe.

matt- ill go to the jc meet, and i can do one better. ill hand out the flyer at the r/t club meeting next month and see if i can get some more trucks up there. we could have our own corner at the show! the chicagoland "black sheep" ,as the club is dubed, is a great group of guys
on a sad note though we just lost one of our finest (jed g, yellow 99 r/t rc to a subaru wrx) he sold out to the rice, turned to the dark side.

hey all i was gone for a few days.. dahm air force...jk... 4 corners is great.. alot of car crews hang there.. you can usually catch some nice american cars.. and trucks.. its good casue the cops dont bother you too much as long as your not spinning them in the lot. plus it does have a great light to light strip... pretty fun.. ill be home on vacation from the 10-17 we got alot of people interested we should meet up one night.. just for and giggles.
