After struggling with it for about 45 minutes I threw in the towel. For some reason, I cant get my oxygen sensor off my 93 dakota with 318. Is this reverse thread or what? I even rented a special socket for the thing. I also tried soaking it in PB Blaster with no luck. I cant even get in there with a hammer. Please help, I got smog on saturday!!!!

the threads are normal (righty tighty, lefty loosey. hehe), when i did mine, i gave it a couple of soakings with WD-40, and everything was went as clock work.

i guess it helped me that my truck has 5 years less rust than yours.

good luck

Eric

Maybe try a little heat on it if you're replacing it, sorry can't think of anything else.

heat makes metal expand and you will never get it off. work on the truck when its the coldest! like first thing in the morning before you start it

Sorry Kota, but you are wrong, you apply the heat to the fitting that is welded to the exhaust that the sensor is screwed into. Sorry that I was not more clear in my first post.
