Subject: I need HELP!!! IP: Logged
Message: After struggling with it for about 45 minutes I threw in the towel. For some reason, I cant get my oxygen sensor off my 93 dakota with 318. Is this reverse thread or what? I even rented a special socket for the thing. I also tried soaking it in PB Blaster with no luck. I cant even get in there with a hammer. Please help, I got smog on saturday!!!!

Message: the threads are normal (righty tighty, lefty loosey. hehe), when i did mine, i gave it a couple of soakings with WD-40, and everything was went as clock work.
i guess it helped me that my truck has 5 years less rust than yours.
good luck

Message: Sorry Kota, but you are wrong, you apply the heat to the fitting that is welded to the exhaust that the sensor is screwed into. Sorry that I was not more clear in my first post.
