I work at a Ford dealer and I got sick of all my buddies at work saying my truck sucked. This has been going on for a while now, and, of course, there's always the moron who wants to "hook up the chains". So today, I get the "chains" - actually, a 26,000lb-rated length of webbing.
I tie the webbing around my frame (above where the rear bumper mount it - because, for some god-forsaken reason, Dodge didn't put them on my 4x4) and the other end to a buddy's F-150 ext. cab, 4.6. I always tell everyone there's no tow-hooks because dodges don't get stuck and so they don't need 'em.
He tries to pull mine in 2wd -- can't! So he throws it in 4 and pulls it about 5 ft. before deciding he doesn't want his truck to break. Now it's my turn. (a 3.9 liter regular cab 4x4). I figure I won't pull it in 2wd, but I try anyway. I pulled that F-150 (in park, full e-brake), with 33x12.5 Explorer Pro Comps 20-feet across the parking lot! IN 2 WD!
Man, was he mad.
Needless to say, the webbing was wedged in between my bumper and frame -- that took about 10 minutes to un-wedge out, and now my bumper sits a little cock-eyed. But it's just the mount that moved a little -- nothing a wrench and a minor adjustment can't fix.
Ford really screwed up in making the tow-hooks on an F-150. The strap came up and cracked his lower plastic piece on his bumper and his factory fog-light is cracked and doesn't work.
Oh well, just had to share that, sorry it's so long.

Great story ! Pulled my freinds Chevy K-10 out of the snow with my wifes Subaru Brat once, both in same depth snow, boy was he ashamed !

The Dak V6 isn't fast but it has hella muscle...How many times must we show up Ford and Chevy before they get the point. They just pick on us cuz were the little guys, but we show 'em every time! : )
