Subject: O2 sensor replacement
IP: Logged

Message:
I am going to replace the O2 sensor this weekend before my smog inspection and wanted to know if anyone has done this. I have a 93 Dakota with 318 and auto trany. It looks like I will have to unbolt the exhaust y-pipe from the passneger side manifold so I can pull it down enough to get at the sensor. Is it safe to soak the old sensor with penetrating lube? At autozone they list a 14 and 34" pig tail for the sensors. I am pretty sure mine is the 14" but does anyone have a 34" pig tail on their o2 sensor? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
