Hi everyone,
I just ordered a set of rear 2in lift shackles. I used the ones from AIM. I was told they could only be used in conjunction with thier hangers. But they worked great. It took a while to get the old ones out due to being there for 12 years. But they really helped the looks of my truck and seem to work great. I would recomend!

Thanks Xtreme, Yeah I talked to the AIM guys and basically asked why you had to use the AIM habger with the shackles. The guy goes, "you know, I am not exactly sure." So I ordered them in hope that they would work. Which they did. I will take some picts w/ my Dig. camera. I will try to send them here and maybe get on the picts thing again. Thanks for the help. Have a nice week.

Joe,
Have the shackle extensions continued to work out for you. I'm thinking of getting a set for my 2K.

Also, can someone explain what the hanger kit is for and why people would require one with extended shackles? I just had to pick up a set of extended shackles for my jeep and bolt them in place of the old ones. No problems.

Thanks,
YJ

YJ, the shackles are still working well. I have been very happy with them. Even though there has been alot of bad talk about AIM. Dont get me wrong, they are dicks for doing what they did to Knobby. But My little expierence with them has been OK. I think about the shackles w/ hangers thing is just a way to get more lift or buy more products. Cuz one of te guys there flat told me i didnt have to. But they are A OK. Go for them. Good Luck.
