I am considering buying a Dakota with the 4.9 V8 and was wondering about the 3.92 or 3.55 axle ratio. Whats the differance? What are the pros and cons?

I just traded in my 99 with the 5.2 eng and a 3:55 diff. I now have a 4.7 with the 3.92.
Both are 5 speeds. 3.92 is better for pulling, you will also have faster acceleration. I don't think there is much difference in the gas mileage. I get 22mpg on the highway. I would go for the 3.92 for the flexability of both. The engine is going to be working slightly less.
