I saw an STX Dakota Quad Cab at a dealership yesterday, it was white, 4X4, 3.9 Auto, but it did not have grey fender flares or grill, they were white? it was also noticably higher than my 2001 CC 4X4 SLT+, both had the wheel & handling package on them.

All of these I know are avaliable on the STX except the body coloured grill and fender flares, is it an option?

The MSRB of the truck was $33,000 (CDN), which is fairly cheap for a 4X4 QC I think.

No way, what is not cheap at all, specially for a 3.9L.

The 2002 S-X-T model I bought was black with the grey bumpers and flares, (not the cheap grey plastic ones on the base models) the 3.9, auto, club cab, factory cd player and air conditioning.
Sticker price was 26,430, but I paid 24,000 (about 16,500 u.s. dollars)

The 2002 SXT I bought is a 4x4 5spd. The SXT models ONLY come with the graphite colored flares and grill/bumper. If the one you saw was color keyed to the body, then 1. They may do things a bit different in Canada than the States, 2. The dealer resprayed the trim to match the body or 3. Someone thought it funny to slap an SXT decal on the side. The SXTs do sit high. 16" wheels. Not sure if the SLTs with the tire/handling group come in the 15" wheel variety or not. That maybe the difference in height. The 4x4s are a bit higher priced. I paid 20,800 (taking the 0% financing instead of the $1500 rebate) for mine MSRP 22,300. So feasibly, you could get a 4x4 SXT for about $19,300 US.

I'm a tech at a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealer and yes, the SXT is generally cheaper. It's considered one step down from the sport model. Every one that's come through my dealer has had the graphite flares, grill, and bumpers. Can't say for the Canada models though.

I did not see any options on it though, but it did day STX on the door, there was also a 2X4 STX next to it and it had the grey flares, grill and bumper. My SLT+ has 16" tires with P265 75R 16 Tires on it, same as the STX QC. If it is still there on the weekend, I will check the options on it.

Ben,
It's called the SXT not the STX, STX was on Ford Rangers and perhaps other Fords too. SXT is Dodge.
