 Subject: missing bolt on 4.7 intake

I was doing some work on my '02 Dakota w/4.7 and noticed a drilled and tapped hole on the passenger side of the intake manifold (near the center going front to back) that didn't have a bolt in it. I checked with the dealer and was told they weren't sure what the hole was for, but the other '02 4.7s were the same way. Anyone else with a '02 4.7 have this same situation? Does anyone have an idea of what this is for?

Don't sweat it. That bolt hole is an engine lift point.... for future use when somebody has to remove the engine to rebuild it. There's going to be one on both sides.

Ok, thanks. Thought it might be that or an accessory mount. Just never know if I can trust what the dealer tells me.
