Subject: TF 727 Tranny IP: Logged
Message: They've got a 727 that will fit the Small block engines (318 - 360), correct? Does anyone know the tq rating on this tranny, would it handle a Twin turbo 408 stroker? (That is once Bernd is able to finish the plans for the Twin Turbo on the 360)

Message: The automatic that comes in the Dakotas is just a 727 with the overdrive added into the tailshaft. It is, or can be built, just as strong as a 727 but with the advantage of having that overdrive so you can run down to 4.56 gears and still drive on the interstate!
