Message: Just bought a new quad cab, and didn't come with the factory installed liner. Any recommendations/experiences. I'll mostly be throwing my mountain bike back there. Occassional lumber, trash, etc, but nothing too heavy. That bedrug looks good?

Message: I would't buy a drop in bedliner, strached the hell out of my bed. I would buy a spray on bedliner.

Message: I prefer the basic drop in under rail bedliner. The mats/carpets are nice, but offer no coverage for the sides. I have heard about the rust issue with drop in bedliners......I take mine out in the Spring every year (past trucks) clean up, touch up scratches, then wax the bed. It takes up part of the weekend that I dedicate to vehicle upkeep. I dislike the spray on liners because ones that I have seen discolor and if the begin to fail (peel) things look pretty bad quickly. These are just my opinions/experiences.

Message: I put a Rhino spray liner in my Dak and it turned out really nice. I've seen some spray in liners didn't look that great, but these guys did an outstanding job. The drop in-liners are okay, but they cause a lot of corrosion if you don't keep up with them. I'm sure there some other spray on type liners that are as good as the Rhino liner, but I'd definitely recommend checking these guys out.

Message: Congrats on your truck. Expecting mine in by Mar. 19. Had one Dak with drop in liner & it worked out ok, but this time I intend to get a spray on liner. Everyone tells me they are great,
but, make sure it's Rhinolining or Line X, the others aren't the same quality & are not worth the cost.

Message: I have a spray in bedliner to under the rail, no problem. It is a Rhino liner and has a limited life-time warranty. Limited being the originial owner. It's the only way to go. It's been in the truck for almost a year and has faded just a bit, but a good scrub with soap and water and the color comes right back. Most of the faded look is just dirt or road dust.

Message: I just bought an '01 QuadCab, 4x2, 4.7L...What a great truck! Anyway, I put in a drop in liner for one VERY good reason...it was free! New cars and trucks are warrented against rust through corrosion so that is not a concern. I was careful installing it and hopefully only caused minor surface scratches. I intend to remove it occasionally to clean the bed. I figure it's got to be better than having a bare bed and the paint getting scratched and beat up with use. my2cents..

Message: I'm with the majority.....Spray in. However I chose Armacoat. It was only $225, for a partial over the rail job. Quality is great & half the price of line-x or rhino.

Message: Finally decided on the Bedrug bedliner. Sounds like it won't harm bed, looks great (matches interior color perfectly). Their guarantee is good as well. Installed the liner yesterday, which was fairly straightforward, and it fit perfectly. Even the wife thinks it looks good! Have already covered it with mud, and it cleaned right up. Only affect on the truck are all the velcro stickies on the bed, but I'm sure they'll peel off if I wanted to remove 'em.

Message: Cant you just get a thin rhino coat then put in the plastic bedliner. This would gat rid of the scratching and add even more protection. Just a thought.

Message: I have the Bedrug in my truck. Looks great, easy to install. I don't like the plastic liners because they are slick and vibrate. I don't like the spay-ins because it's too permanent. It ruins the factory paint. The Bedrug velcro's in place. You will be very happy with it. I am. Also it's easy on the knee's.

Message: I just bought a '01 V6, Sport Quad Cab, 5 speed. I dropped in a Pendaliner SR. I thought about the spray on liner but the truck place wanted $400-$450. The liner cost me about $200. I was looking for a Duraliner but at the time, Duraliner was only available in an "over the rail" model. If you have the clams, go for the Rhino spray on. If you're short on funds, like me, go with the drop in liner. My friend had a F150 for 8 years w/ a Duraliner. No rust, only some slight scratches in the paint. He was happy and he just got a '01 Club Cab Dak and he put in a Duraliner. The tail gate protector used the existing bolt holes in the tail gate. No drilling. On mine, the installer drilled some holes into the tail gate. Make sure if you get a drop in liner that you can still use the 2 tier system in the bed. Some liners don't have that feature. Good Luck.
