.......Guys OMG did I have fun tonight. Me and my friend where just coming back from an Autozone to fetch a battery for my camaro (At the time I'm driving my 2001 Dodge Motorsports Edition Dakota 4.7 5 speed 3.92 peg-leg and currently my only mod is an Airaid intake), anywyas back to the story, I go to the local gas staion where I see a band of local ricers so I pull up and as soon a I get out one asks "What do you got in that thing?" and Im like a 4.7 he was like ohh...lol anyways he says you wanna run em? I was like sure! So this guy jumps in a 98 V6 Mustang thinking hes gonna run with me and I mean he had it modded a bit atleast the exhaust and stuff so we go off and line them up, I take him on his wave and he sees nothing but taillights so this guy (in a 2000 Honda Civic) on the way back to the station decides hes gonna try and run with me so he blows by ( I was casually driving back to the hangout) and I just drop to fourth and catch him and so he decides when we stop that he wants to run so we line them up and I beat him twice once down and once back, then we go back to the gas station in a small town in Southwest VA, and a guy in a 454 starts talkin crap about how bad his damn SS454 92 model pick up is so I say you wanna hit'em for fun? We lin'em up and he takes off before I was even given a hand signal to go so once I go I spin like hell and catch up to his door but he ended up pulling one car length from by the end of the race. Now notice thats a 7.5L VS. a 4.7L I think my truck did dang good for what it is to stay with him like that. What do yall think? Im getting a Flowmaster PN# 17278 installed either tomorrow or Thursday when it comes in and Im gonna perfect my launch a bit more and see if I cant take him if he'll run'em again. Where you at in VA? I live in Williamsburg, although I 'only' have the 3.9 so I won't be beating the doors off of too many vehicles. Yet. :-)

have you thought about a lock-rite locker? it ratches when you turn and it locks when both wheels are spinning at the sampe speed (when your going striaght) that and some good z rated tires will help your launch.

Thanks for the info guys. Nah I live in Kentucky right on the border with VA. I was in a town called Pound its located in Wise County, VA. there seems to be alot of active racing in this area cuz theres not much to do in these rural parts. How much does that lock-rite locker run there Clevite 77 might be something I could check into. What about interaction with the rear antilock brakes?
