Has anyone put a 440 magnum in their Dakota, and is it possible to biuld an EFI 440? If so whats the estimated cost? Would I need to use a 727 torqueflite or could I use one of the newer trannys?

727 was available with two different bellhousings, one fits smallblocks, other fits big blocks (383,400,440). I think I saw someone offering a kit to cut off smallblock bellhousing and replace with one to fit big block for newer tranny. Might have been featured in "Mopar Action", they've also had features on big block EFI, both throttle body and sequential multipoint systems. Got a wheelbarrow load of money ?

I am looking ahead, trying to decide what do build, my options as of right now are: Twin Turbo 408 stroker, 426 street hemi, magnum 440, and my dream a 528 hemi. I am looking to accomplish this with in the next couple years.

Man, I would love to have any of those in my truck!
I have a personal facination with the 426, but the twin turbo stroker is damn cool too.
