Subject: Help - Overheating? IP: Logged
Message: We've replaced more cooling system components than I care to remember - but still the tempature guage swings from about 1/3 to 2/3. Has anyone seen this before? 95 - 2.5L

Message: Er... wait.. is the gauge just 'jumping around' seemingly at random?
If so, probally got a bad ground somewhere.

Message: I hope it's not the head gasket - we just replaced it.
It jumps around but not completely random. It'll hover around 1/3 for most of the time, but occasionally drift up to 2/3 (close to hot) and then back down.

Message: I'd try a 180 thermostat.
If you've already done that - maybe try the old "dunk it in boiling water" trick... to make sure it's good
