Message: Hey
Recently while looking through my owners manual I noticed that it is possible to shut off the option of my doors locking when i travel over 15 mph. Anyway, i tried this and it worked (this is done by moving the key from the off position to the on position four times then pressing the door lock button once to lock the doors). Well after doing this my doors will not unlock unless i press the unlock button on the remote twice. It is still recieving the first press because the dome light comes on but the doors do not unlock like they used to. So i turned the feature back on that locks the doors at 15 mph. But the door locks still require pressing the button twice to unlock the doors with the remote. Can anyone help or has anyone had a problem similar.
Thanks in advance
Mark

Message: My truck does the same thing. I press the unlock twice before the doors unlock. I like it that way because I would always unlock the doors when my keys were in my pocket.

Message: My Blazers alarm requires 2 presses of the button but the Dak doesnt..I turned off the auto lock over 15mph feature also..One thing has nothing to do with the other...Read through the manual again or read through the little pamphlet that has info on the transmitter..There is a way to change that setting also if I remember right. Ill look tonight and see what I find if you cant locate it

Message: Mine did the same thing. It got real annoying so I tried using the other transmitter that the truck came with, that one work with just the press of the button once but only for like half a day then its back to pushing it twice again. Im also eager to figure out a fix for this one. Thanks everyone.

Message: The dealer should be able to reprogram your unit in a flash. I don't think they would charge to much if its out of warrenty because the service guy did it in 30 seconds without even making my girlfriend get out of the car. They just plug into one of the plugs under the dash with this little gismo and push a button.
