Subject: QC bed movement IP: Logged
Message: I have noticed the the bed on my 02 QC 4x4 seems to have movement when going over normal bumps in the road. I look in the drivers rear view mirror and can see the drivers side of the bed seems like it has excessive movement. I have owned a 98 CC dak 2wd and now own a 2000 CC dak 2wd and never noticed this. But today I drove another 02 QC 4x4 and it also had the same movement of the bed when going over bumps. Has anybody else noticed this and if so do you think it is normal?
It seems to be a QC thing .

Message: I have this problem as well. I own the QC 4x2 though.
I wonder if adding a bedliner and tonneau cover will minimize the shaking?

Message: I've had a 2000 4x2 and a 2001 4x4. Both have the bed movement you describe. My '97 CC did not.

Message: I have a 2K quad cab 4x4. It moves a bit on bumps. Oh, and it squeaks. ;). Seems ok, doesn't seem to shift out of place at the end of the day. I have a bed-liner and 95lb. ARE tonneau cover on it.

Message: Yeah guys thanks for the replies I took a good look at my 2000 CC dak today and it also moves not as much as my 2002QC dak and I bet my 1998 CC dak did the same.

Message: I was under the back of my '01 QC tonight and I noticed some sort of torsion link between the framerails. Is this supposed to help reduce the frame twist in some way?

Message: Noah
Read back thru these posts and you'll see lots of complaints of beds not sitting straight. It should be covered on your warranty.

Message: The cab is rubber mounted. The cab is moving on the frame. The bed is not rubber mounted.
