Subject: i saved some CASH!! IP: Logged
Message: i just saw the price speedtweaks charges for installing items. HOLLY MOLLY!! i must haved saved about 2k by installing parts by my self. in no way am i saying bernd is over charging people, but i just never thought instalation priceing was so high.
i think i might open a shop ;-) $65 an hour! hell yea

Believe it or not, they're a little bit less than what the local shops (and dealer) charge. When you take into consideration the overhead costs of running a shop...it all makes sense.
I've done it myself...installed parts myself to save money. Only thing that comes into play is if something goes wrong...you have to pay out of your own pocket (no warranty on labor). Some things I leave up to other shops...installing my differential gears: 12mo/Unlimted mileage warranty from the shop on parts and labor.) ;)

Message: yea bernd, i thought you'd be cheaper than other places. (you sure are on parts). but i just didnt know how much labor was going for these days.
if i lived near you, id be at the shop every day!! it make me want to take a road trip just to check it out! CONGRATTS!! and good luck!
