Anyone know of a good (or bad for that matter) repair manual out there that covers the 01 Dakotas? I ordered one the other day from Advance Auto and it was for 97-99. I know most of the stuff is the same, but I want something that covers everything... the 4wd shifter on the dash isn't covered, among other things, and who knows what could go wrong that has changed (locations of wires and cables...etc...)...the guy looked at me like I was an idiot for asking for my money back when I went to pick up the book.

Check out ebay. You can find the factory service manuals there. I just won an auction for all 5 service manuals for $133.00. Not a bad deal.

You could always just order the 2001 service manual from Dodge. It's about $90.00 plus S/H. It covers everything, I bought one.

I LOVE the Alldata DIY service. The DIY stands for Do It Yourself. They have all pictures, wiring diagrams, technical notes, part numbers and everything you need all on-line. A 1-year subscription costs $24.95 but they don't have the 2001 year out yet. I have a 2001 4X4 Quad Cab and can't wait until they offer the 2001 model year for subscription. I did purchase the 2000 model year thinking that it would be the same but come to find out the wiring is different so the diagrams are not much help right now.
