Subject: Noisy brakes!
IP: Logged

Message:
Yesterday my brakes made a loud noise right before I stopped (<5KM/h) and has been doing it often since, my '92 did that also but more often and I think that that was a problem with the genII's. I do not have 4 wheel abs and it is not slippery outside so it is not the abs, and at my last service they said that I have about 80% of the pads remaining. It sounds like it is coming from the rear drums. Also I noticed that the rear drum brakes on a pre 2001 GenIII Dakota have a larger diameter but narrower width, than my 2001 does, did they change them or something.

Thanks.
