This is probably a dumb question but I was wondering which end goes on the spark plug and which end goes on the distributor? I think that the silicon (colored boot) goes on the plug and that the black rubber boot goes on the distrobutor.

When I changed my wires, the "plug" end had long "boots" that would not fit on the distributor cap.
My guess is to use the very shortest "L" bends on the distributor.
If either end fits, it really doesn't matter as far as spark transmission. Go for what looks best.
