Message: hey, great site.
I've got a '97 2wd 5.2., I'd like to improve the mileage without sacrificing performance. I've installed a K&N filter charger kit, and upgraded my exhaust to a 3" from y to muffler which splits to two 2.5" dual pipes, sounds great, performes great. But ever since the stock cat broke up into chunks and had to be replaced my mileage has stunk. I'm looking at puting in trottle body spacer(poweraid) and I've installed new oxygen sensors. Will the spacer help and is there anything else I could do? Thanks.

Message: Dude, if the mileage went bad after changing the cat, there's something wrong with the cat. If the cat is restricting the exhaust, more air in won't help.
Are you sure it's the right cat? Sometimes parts are mis-boxed!
