dudes and duddettes,
Scotty from hawaii again!!! any how i'm tweeking on my 2000 Dak again. seems like i'm not being a good owner. i had my trans fluid changed like at 18,000 miles to Royal Purple synthetic with that ZMax trans additive thingy. now at 25,000 miles i check my trans fluid to find out that its a quart below minumum. the thing is i didn't check the trans after i got it back from the tranny shop when i changed it. when i asked them if there was enuff they explained that there was more than enuff so i got an extra quart back. i put in one quart and that got it up to the minimum line and slapped on a second one and it made it maximum line. should i worry about my trans malfunctioning? the check light didn't go on and there were no slipps with the trans shifting. i checked for any leaks and there were none. boy am tweeking about it. what should i do?

Aloha Scott,
No, not to worry..but that ZMax additive is not only not needed, its lousy stuff..do not put that crap in your tranny. The Royal Purple does not need help and will infact break down the good stuff so next time leave it out.
Just keep an eye on the level. As long as you are having no problems, I would not worry.
I will coming to Kaneohe in May. I just bought a log home on 28 acres in Kentucky so I can get the heck out of Atlanta but am thinking of buying a place on Oahu as well.

well i can tell you this... Hawaii is a great place to live. you got nice weather year round but you gotta deal with the cost of living here. if you decide to come here give me a harlor and i'll hook you up with a tour. my family is in the tourist industry.
