Does Dodge sell a tailgate lock that replaces one of the bolts on the right side of the tailgate so the tailgate can't be removed ?
I saw this device on some Dakotas at one of the dealers the other day. But the salesman could not tell me if the device was a dodge oem part. It looks like it uses a key to remove the bolt similar to the key you get with wheel locks.

I know you can get gate locks at part stores. I highly recommend getting one, I've had my tailgate stolen twice. The $40. gate lock is much cheaper than tying to find replacement gates and painting them if need be. "QuickRacing"

I got the new style POP LOCK and it works really well and a snap to install
