Subject: Removing trim.... IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone know of a "good" way to remove the trim on the GenII dakotas? I've got a 96 dakota with the "Black trim " along the sides... Anyideas? I amagine if I take it off, it more that likely, won't go back on...
Thanks for your help "QuickRacing"

Message: Use a hair dryer or heatgun to heat up the trim piece, apply some Goo Gone or some #M adhesive remover then use dental floss like a saw to cut the glue. You want to be cutting between the pain and the glue, not the glue and the trim or you will have a lot of glue to remove. Another way that I found works well is to go and get some plastic putty knives to scrape with. Then plastic doesn't scratch the paint.
