Hey all,
I've been kinda lurking around here for almost two months now. Lots of great info!
I just picked up my new Dakota last nite:
2002 CC Sport, 4.7L, Auto 4x4, black. Got just about every option execpt leather seats! Drove it a little last nite, then an hour to work today in the snow! (Got the truck just in time) Definately worth the 1 1/2 month wait for the factory order.
Guess I'll have to join the group now :)

Congratulations. I just got mine last Saturday and I love the way it rides right now. Consider yourself lucky to be able to shell out that much money for a factory order!
And well worth the wait.

Congrats, Ordered my 02 in Nov and got it 4 weeks later on Dec 12th, sounds exactly like mine except for the color
I have HD service package, towing package 5900# GVW, and the 3.92's what did you get?

Congrats on the Dakota purchase. You won't regret your decision. I bought mine just six months ago and have already put over 11,000 miles on it! I love just getting in it and driving on weekends, all your cares just fly away as you cruise on the back roads in your Dakota. Have fun with it!

I got mine December 20th, and I have already put about 4500 miles on it (I have a 40 mile drive to work), and thus far I love it. Only 'problem' I have experienced was a slight 'knocking' upon barely accelerating. The fix? Bending the transmission fluid line a bit so that the top did not knock on the underside of the hood. *L*

Congrats on your new purchase, I purchased my 2002 Dak Quad Cab 4x4 loaded on Dec 26th, SLT+ loaded up, patriot blue silver trim, 3;92 lok diff, automatic, Infinity system,HD serv group,tow pkg, and more....and I kept my 2k Dak cc 4x2 looks like an RT now. both have 4.7 motors. Good luck enjoy, I now have 1200 miles on my Quad cab. I drive 37 miles to work one way. And today a rock hit the windshield and chipped it, Damn I was pissed, but oh well.

Basically its fully loaded, Heavy Duty Service group, Tow Prep Group, Sport plus, Infinity, 3.55 gears, anti-slip, Tire and Handeling group, big mirrors, Delux O/H Convinence group, mini trip comp....
So far I love the truck. Had a lot of fun driving it to work today in the snow!
Not sure what I want to add to it first, I'm thinking tonneau cover, after that I'm not really sure. Any thoughs?

I went with the Extang Tonno first, have them on both my Daks. I like the Blk Max. Had the door windows tinted to 20% to match the factory window tint,since the rest of glass was tinted at the factory. K&N Drop in filter,rubber mat in bed or bed liner of your choice..and the list is endless if you have the money.. Have Funn.

The first major thing I put on my new Dakota was an ARE tonneau cover. It is a great cover and I am very happy I got it. You can visit my website to see pics of it.

Congrats on your new truck Mike!!! I have a '01 SPORT CC Patriot Blue pearl Coat 4X4 4.7L... Just added a new stereo (Pioneer deck, Pioneer Amp, Infinity speakers and a Pioneer sub ) EVSII alarm, fog lights, tinted windows and a gibson exhaust...
Love it...
Now I need to join this web site. Alot of good info...
