Subject: tire rotation of radials IP: Logged
Message: I have some B.F. Goodrich radial tires on my Dakota right now. I have been rotating them periodically from front to back. I have been keeping them on the same side though. Is it ok and safe to swap sides? I have heard that radials should stay on the same side of the vehicle. Is there any help out there?

Message: Check out the info section on tirerack.com. They have a number of diagriams showing the proper rotation patterns for various vehicle/tire combinations.

Message: I rotate my Goodyear Eagle LS's in a 5-tire rotation as per the manual every 6,000 miles. Have had no problems with them at all.
I think they get a set to them if you run them a long time on one side then try to rotate them to the other side.
I have had radials separate at the belts/carcass in the past when I could not afford new tires and boought use dones.
