Does anyone out there have top speed for their Dakotas? I have a stock 3.9 engine with K&N filter and a dual Flowmaster exhaust and not even pushing it I did 117 mph the other day. Whats the max anyone has hit?

Most of us have top speed limiters set at either 98mph or 117mph. Those that don't i've heard have hit 130mph+. Depends on when they get scared...or smart.

I've got a '95 Sport 2.5L 5 Speed and the wimpy little motor cannot overcome the wind resistance over 97.

I have not been at 117 MPH yet, but I have been above 100, and that's with a 3.9 V6, not trying hard.

2001 RC 4.7 5sp 9.25" 3.92 LSD
Ported 68mm throttle body, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" cold air, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat. Electric fan Convertion, Awaiting HO cams.
Working on adjustable fuel pressure with return.

115MPH...It scared me when it cut out, I wasn't expecting it...... My buddy in his 99 Cobra passed me at 160mph....

Bernd: With the switch that you wired into the speed sensor turned off pull the fuse for the ABS. I would be willing to bet that you have no speed limiter. No speedo either but no limiter.
