Subject: Composit Manifold IP: Logged
Message: The 4.7 V8 has a composit manifold. Anyone know anything about this, good or bad??

Message: Good IMO, keeps cooler.
2001 RC 4.7 5sp 9.25" 3.92 LSD Ported 68mm throttle body, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" cold air, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat. Electric fan Convertion, Awaiting HO cams. Working on adjustable fuel pressure with return.

Message: Manifold is great,I wonder why DC ran the heater hoses over the manifold and under the TB just adds more heat to the TB,Im going to move my hose's and run them behind the engine.

Message: I seriously doubt that the heater lines are going to add any heat to the throttle body. Look at your engine again. The heater lines are quite a ways forward of the throttle body. If you are paranoid about it, then I suppose that you could wrap the lines with some sort of insulating material. IMO it wouldn't be worth the bother to try and move these lines. You wouldn't even notice the difference.
