Okay, stupid question. First time owner of a Dak (2 weeks) and did my profile today. What is the GenI,II or III? I put in GenIII (had to pick one). I assume it has something to do with performance, but not sure what. Thanks for helping the newbies!

Nevermind.. I found it in the archives:
"Gen I - first year (87 or 88?) to 90
Gen II - 91 (new body style but no magnum v8) to 96
Gen III - 97 to present "

correct except that the gen II had a magnum v8 in 1992. (I had one so I know)

Nice Dak, the factory fender flares add alot to the looks of the Dak, more aggressive stance. and wheels are tucked up inside better. You can get them from the Dealer for approx 240.00 for all 4. and they are painted to match from the factory and easy to install.. good deal huh? Just for your info..

Gen I: 87-91
Gen II: 92-96 (Magnum Engine introduced and wheel patterns changed to 6x4.5")
Gen III: 97-present (body redesigned)
That should be right.

My 1991 Gen 2s also have the 6" x 4.5" wheel pattern, which I believe extends through at least 1998, maybe longer.

Dodge is still using the 6 bolt 4.5" wheel nut pattern today. You're right...My mistake, Dodge started using that pattern in 1991.

The did change to a wider factory rim. In 1991 it was 6" wide. Somewhere (1997??) they changed it to 7".

I know the Gen I had a 5 bolt pattern but what are the specifics? hieght? width? how big of a 5 bolt?
