Message: Will standard issue 1998 Dakota steel rims (factory width unknown - 7"?) fit a 1991 Dakota (both 2wd and 4wd) with factory 6" rims? Thanks!

Message: The steel rims, are 7 inches in width. and yes they should fit if there is a six lug pattern.

Message: Yep, the pattern is the same and they are Dodge factories. Only concern is fender clearance, or excess pressure on axles due to slightly wider rims (I THINK they are 7" wide -- the 1998 manual does not say what is stock).
Any concern mixing 6" on the front and 7" on the rear (w/ snow tires)?

Message: Wheels will fit fine, just use the appropriate tire size, such as a 235x70x15 for the 2WD, and there is no excess preassure on axles, or bearings unless you go to monster meats..

Message: One other thing, using a wider rim gives vehicle more stability.and you can fit a larger or fater tire on rim, looks better. if you plan on using the 7 inch wide rims on the 2WD Dak I would go with the 235x70x15 up front and 245x70x15 in rear, will look pretty cool.I assume these are the 15 inch rims also.?

Message: Yes. I will use the 7" rims to hold snow tires for both the 2WD and 4WD 91 DAKs. Everything on both is stock, except these slightly overwidth rims will go on the rear.

Message: 235-75R15 works well in snow, I plow with this size Goodrich AT - great tire. Go too wide and you'll be floating around, narrow is the way to go in snow !
