Subject: '01 4.7L QC IAT adjuster installed IP: Logged
Message: Well, IAT was in my mailbox at 10am yesterday. (Thur.) Geeeeez, that arrived fast.
Anyway, it was installed within an hour later. I have an '01 QC. I removed the removable ashtray insert from my ashtray and drilled a whole the size of a dime in the back right hand corner and fed the IAT cable through that hole. The IAT adjuster fits in the ashtray like it was designed to fit there. Ashtray still opens and closes at a fingertips touch. Anyway, I found a completely free soft rubber grommet/plug on the passenger side firewall. I made a tiny slit in the center of that grommet and fed the IAT adjuster cable through there from the cab, (I used a bit of black atv sealant to seal up around the cable) out to the engine compartment, along the back engine compartment firewall and then to the area of the IAT sensor where it attached easily to the IAT sensor using the provided "Quick Connect" connectors. I ended up with about 4 inches extra cable which I left in the cab under the dash. To pretty the install up I took a few inches of flexible plastic cable covering and covered the area where I spliced. Anyway, install was clean and easy. Set the IAT adjuster "on" and to 70 and started the truck. No error reading noted so I assume all is well. Bill in NY

Message: This info found on SpeedTweaks web site:
The IAT Adjuster also enhances the overall performance of the other modifications and works very well with Headers, Aftermarket Throttle Bodies, and Custom PCM's (Tested with a Mopar Performance PCM as well). The IAT Adjuster does NOT work with the JET Chips as they use the same trick to adjust the fuel curve...for $170 more!

Message: Getting the PCM reprogramming is about the best. The IAT is far better than probably any Jet product from what I understand.
