i want to get a pair of lake..... traction bars but i heared you have to weld and make many mods is this true. Also is there a notiable traction gain when installing these.

No No No. They just clamp on over the leaf springs. They cost $38 at AutoZone and they install in about an hour. There ain't much improvement in traction until you go to the dragstrip. On the street, you won't notice anything except reduced wheel hop.

With the bar towards the front. Hope you didn't get the standard universal model, they are too short and can actually damage your springs. Get the heavy duty ones.

Hey I have a 69 camaro and these universal traction bars don't fit because of my shock they're in the way did any one have a problem like this and if so could you tell me how to fix it
